‘Three courses for £18’!

Friday, September 30th, 2011

Sample menu 1

We love autumn at Urban Reef and to celebrate the start of the new season we will be running a series of ‘three courses for £18’ menus.

Each week we’ll be updating our menus online, but you can see our current menus here:

These will be running Monday through to Thursday at both lunch and dinner time. If you can’t fit all three courses in then you can indulge in ‘two for £14’ instead.

If you have any questions just give us a call on: 01202 443960.

Make this year an Urban Christmas!

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

We love the wonderful time of year that is Christmas! The jolly tunes, roaring log burning fires, candles, big woolly jumpers, walks along the beach as the wind blows, scarves and snow – and we feel justified in adding snow to this list as we’ve had a fair amount of it over the past couple of years ;)

Now we know it seems quite early to be writing about Christmas, especially as the sun is still shining down on us, but it really will be here before we know it so we thought we’d better be prepared.

This year we feel we have something to suit everyone’s needs, so come and indulge in one of our festive packages from Thursday December 1st right up until Saturday December 24th.

We’re even open on Christmas Day, so if you don’t want to play chef for the day, come and eat with us!

If you follow this link: you’ll be able to have a look at all of our different menus and you’ll also be able to see what our big brother, the Urban Beach Hotel is up to.

If you’ve got any questions, feel free to give us a bell on: 01202 443960 and we’ll be happy to help.

We also have music going on throughout the whole of December. Our musicians will be adding in a few Christmas tunes to have you feeling Christmassy in no time!

With seasonal wishes! ;)

Make it an Urban Christmas!

Urban Charities

Monday, September 19th, 2011

Supporting local charities and organisations is very important to us here at Urban Reef, we like to respond to people’s requests for raffle prizes and meals for two and try really to try to help as much as possible.

Over the past couple of years we, along with our big brother Urban Beach, have supported the following (to name just a few!):

However, we started to find that we were receiving so many requests for support and charity partnerships that our approach to dealing with them was a little haphazard! So a few of us got our heads together to have a think and we’ve come up with a solution which we feel makes the process fair to everyone that approaches us.

From now on in our monthly e-newsletter we’ll have a section completely dedicated to charities. We’ll feature two per month that have asked for help with a bit of blurb on each, along with web details so our readers can find out more if they wish. We’ll then ask our readers to vote for which charity they’d like us to support for the month and we’ll give away a raffle prize to the chosen organisation.

Hopefully you’ll agree with us that this is a rather good way for us to give a few charities a good bit of publicity each year :-)

If you’d like to put your charity forward for this opportunity just drop a line to with your details and we’ll be in touch.

Love the Urbans. Xx

The Arts & Crafts Bazaar

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Urban deli stand

This weekend sees the first ever ‘Arts & Crafts Bazaar’ take place in Boscombe, giving local crafts people a chance to showcase their skills. The event ties in with the existing and well established Boscombe Vintage Market and is also a part of Victorian Day, so there will be some fancy dress on the go too!

As we’re never ones to miss out on the action ;) we’ve decided to get our own stand down at the event too. Come and see us at the top of Sea Road from 9am to 5pm where you’ll be able to buy some of our tasty cake treats, made by our very own baker Kay.

After the 3rd of September the bazaar will take place every on the fist Saturday of every month, so for more information or to take part in the event you can call the Boscombe Regeneration Partnership office on: 01202 392142 or email:
